1969 BMW 1600
Experience the car that put BMW on the map in the US, the car behind "The Ultimate Driving Machine" slogan.
This classic 1969 BMW 1600 that has a fresh body, a refreshed drivetrain, and that quintessential BMW sports coupe drivability for less than the cost of a Honda Civic.
Unlike many 1600s and 2002s that suffer the ravages of rust, this example has all new New Old Stock (NOS) body panels including the fenders, nose, doors, quarters, hood, trunklid, and trim as well as a solid chassis and a freshened engine that was recently worked over by a BMW mechanic.
The car, an early production example of the 1600, features rare options that were done away with by federalization and production modifications.
The 1600 retains the stock M10 with a single weber downdraft carburetor, front disc brakes, and fully-independent rear suspension.
If you are looking for the perfect car to take to Caffeine and Carburetors this summer, look no further.
