Question about clutch delay valve

My new to me 540/6 came with the Bavauto modified CDV not installed. Getting ready to install my short shift kit and was undecided on removing the factory CDV. Occasionally my son will drive the car. He's a fairly new 3 pedal driver. He does a good job, but has a little issue with the hill starts sometimes. Should I wait till he's a little more proficient or will it not make a difference for him? Thanks!
