OK so I just found out I have a long list of repairs to do in order to pass the German inspection :mad. I've ordered most of the parts however I have a serious question I need answering. When the gentleman was inspecting the car, he had it lifted, he could literally lift my passenger front wheel and tire an inch like it was just hanging there. He was like "you're shocks are blown". Ok that I can understand, however, I was curious if the lifting of the wheel and tire could have been an indicator of a worn out and dead upper strut mount on that wheel? I don't mind replacing them if needed, just want to know if it so I can get the part.
FYI here is the list:
- shocks and struts are blown
- Passenger Control Arm ball joint is dead
- Passenger side e-brake is malfunctioning
- Power Steering leak from what looks to be right at the pump
- Engine oil leak from what looks right in the front
- CV Axle boot on passenger side has a gaping hole in it
I'm just at loss for words on this one right now. So far I've ordered
- Koni Yellow Shocks
- New Control Arms with ball joints
- New PowerFlex Control Arm bushings in the bracket
- New CV Axle Boot
- parking brake shoes with hardware kit
