Not sure if I have a cv bad or front diff on my newly purchased 2004 325xi. The noise is only under accel or load. It goes away when decel or just coasting. Also when in neutral the noise does not occur. Sounds like a metal on metal clunking or marbles rolling around in a can. It's definately not pinging from the engine. I feel no vibration in the steering. It's doesn't vary by speed. So what's everyone think cv? Front diff?
