Gotta love living in the rust belt VS Rocker panel replacement

Hello boys and girls. I recently traded one of my motorcycles for a (what I thought) was a cherry 98 528I. relatively reasonable miles. Typicall blown engine gasket between cyl 4 and 5 (no biggie). The major pro's to this car (or so I thought) was the body. Nice and solid. with only a little bit of rust bubling at the rear drivers side fender. Got the car home, went to jack it up to pull the engine for a full rebuild and guess what. Drivers side rocker is all rotted through. The front of the rocker as well as the rear of the drivers side rocker panel is completely rusted through at the jack points. The POS PO had fiberglassed over the whole thing and actually put the jack pads back on!! I must say. He actually did a dam good job of disguising the repair and going through the pain of actually making it nice and thin so that it didnt feel like 10lbs of fiberglass when knocked on. Anyway. Long story short. I have to replace or repair the rockers. Back in my highschool days i used to have access to a body shop and I used to bang out rocker panes and various other panels for rusted out camaros and firebirds. Ive done plenty of body work on BMW's as well. Ive had everything from an old 633CSI to a 03 E46. I however, have never had the need to replace rockers on any of these cars. Is it even worth doing, and are parts available? I no longer have the fabrication equipment to even attempt to make rockers for the E39, but I do still have alot of my tools, including my welder and the know how to use it. But are parts for a rocker replacement even available? Im also assuming there is an internal structure that needs replacement?

there is a e39 in my local junkyard just sitting there with a solid body. I ws considering chopping the needed body panels off of that car and just drilling out the spotwelds on the donor parts and replacing the rusted out parts on my car. Though I really would much rather prefer replacing the parts with new ones. Which is really my major question. Are said parts even available?

If so, does anyone have a link?

Best method for bluetooth that is also cheap

So I am driving a 97 740i with the DSP package and tape and cd, no navigation. (And just in case I am wrong about that, here is a picture): I want to add bluetooth support for my radio so that I can play songs with my phone through the car audio. Currently I own a product that is a bluetooth module with a battery that has a male 3.5mm connector and it also has a female to female coupler so It can also be a female end if needed, preferably I would use this product because I alread own it, but if it has issues (I think part of the cable might be cut inside causing a bit of static) I would then look at purchasing this product from amazon http://ift.tt/1vN6ijS and use a coupler. My current plan was to follow the same general idea as these 3 threads.

These follow the idea of either cutting and replacing or splicing into the tape wires that come from the back of the tape deck all the way to the back of the car, this seems like the easiest way to do. I saw a couple posts on other BMW forums where users mentioned that is has worked, and also people who report it was quiet, or just didn't work. So is this a good method or should I look at something else. I prefer to keep the car looking as stock as possible so no visible wires, and I would very much prefer to use bluetooth instead of 3.5mm. And lastly if the tape method is the best method what is the procedure to take apart my radio unit.

Sorry for the run on sentences and bad format, just spewing as much information as I can into the thread, I will respond to any questions and any help would be advised. Thanks everyone!

Where do you buy simple parts?

I need to replace the little bumper plug in my 2011 sedan.

I imagine if I get the piece from the dealer it will cost 10 times more. Is there somewhere I can find this online? And already painted black sapphire?

I assume this is something that just snaps in.

I am referring to little plug that goes on the lower half of the bumper that I assume covers something for towing.

Where do you go online for parts like this?

Thanks and happy new year!!
