OK everyone, I have bought a 1998 540i 4.4 v8. Car looks great clean interior motor ran strong but I think the time chain tensioner snapped. Its a interference motor so I am expecting bent valves. Crank spins chains do not:(.
However I bought it as a project so here goes nothing! I need help sourcing a new motor for this e39. I also would love any input on maybe a different motor as a swap. Any Ideas? I live in Las Vegas and would love a reference to a good indie Mechanic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
