Headroom

I really like my 635, but the headroom is killing me. Is there ANY reasonable solution? I've got sport seats. If I can move them back an inch and gain an inch of headroom, I'd love it. If I can't, I'll have to get rid of it. Has anyone actually done anything about it?

Schematic E 39

Can someone post a link to an online E 39 schematic ( exploded views-system by system) I found one once but lost it. I'mm sure I originally found it on this forum. It may have been sponsored or provided by an online parts supplier.

Thank you very much.

URO Tie Rod Ends ***Warning*** and Fix

Hey all. THought I would share my experience.

The grommet on the URO ends is not firm enough to hold the tie-rod boots on. I tried several clamps and ended up having to take everything apart and using the OEM ones off the the original. Much denser and also had a deeper groove for the boot to be clamped in. Works perfect now.

I have made ECS aware of the issue and they were nice to give me a credit for all my hassles.

For the "Been There Done That Bin"

Saw a commercial for the new Acura TLX the other day bragging about their "innovative 4 wheel steering".

I could've sworn I saw a video showing it on an E31 a few years back...searched but found a different one:

Hello! I have for sale this perfect example of an E39!

This particular E39 is with the BREATHTAKING, Single VANOS 2.8L, naturally aspirated inline six cylinder engine.. known to many as the M52B28.

The interior is made of a couple tan dyed cows, I'd guess ..2.3? and is in wonderful shape, looks like it was conditioned periodically. I know I have been.

The exterior is a brilliant, BostonGrun (Boston-green) all original paint on this bad boy. and the body is in AMAZING shape, and I mean it. I have it on good authority it was garaged for a about 100k miles.

All windows on the car are factory, including the front windshield. again, this car is in pretty darn good shape.

All lights work, and function as they're supposed to.

The luxury features including, but not limited to, A/C, cruise control, sunroof, 10 speaker sound system, and power seats. all work exactly how they should

There are NO check engine lights, or any other lights on. no faults in the car for ANYTHING.

The car will come on Style 32 wheels, the same ones found on a 540i Msport, although they are not staggered.

Will also come with stock style 29 wheels, which are also pictured, they are 15 inch and come with tires that are practically new, about 3k miles.

SO, if you're looking for a very clean, well kept vehicle, that drive just about new. buy this one.. or not, that's up to you.

looking to trade for a 4x4 toyota pickup or manual subaru impreza coupe, or legacy. let me know what you have, I may be interested.

Is it okay to drive without the Valve Cover (exposing coil packs)? Valve Cover= Broke

Hey guys, I was wondering if its okay to drive without the valve cover attached? The smog mechanic broke the valve cover mounts (http://c1552172.r72.cf0.rackcdn.com/158512_x800.jpg) and it wouldnt attach back on. If its not safe, what could happen? Thanks in advance!
