New-to-me E46 on crappy runflats keeps setting off tire pressure monitor

Hi all,

Just picked up this car on Friday and loving it so far:

What you can't see is that those gorgeous 19" rims are wrapped in crappy no-name (Mayrun?) run-flat tires from the previous owner. The red tire pressure warning light keeps popping on as I'm driving.

I understand that the M3 doesn't actually have pressure sensors in the rim, but detects tire slip using wheel speed sensors intended for the ABS and TC, and also infers tire condition from that information. I've confirmed that the tires are inflated to the correct pressure as indicated in the door sill, but have also confirmed that they are old, hard, down on tread, probably flatspotted from sitting for a while, and definitely near the end of their useful lives. They need to be replaced soon - no question - and I'm sure they are down on grip in moments of "spirited driving" (and there have been many since I picked up this car), but is there anything I can do in the short term to convince the car's systems that everything is going to be okay?
