Since I got my car, I've had this little issue. It isn't severe, but I'd like to track it down now.
The car seems to surge on cold starts. It starts fine, and idles until approximately the quarter mark on the temp gauge. The revs will drop, then immediately re-stabilize. This will repeat every few seconds until the car has warmed completely. Nothing I do seems to have any bearing on this, as some people report turning on the AC solves this.
So far, I have removed the intake, and checked for any cracking. There was a tiny crack in the ICV hose, which is sealed until the replacement comes in tomorrow, though I don't think it was an actual hole. Going further, I cleaned the ICV and the throttle body, as well as the MAF, and all of the electrical connectors. I've checked out the CCV hoses, which are all in decent shape (PO may have replaced). I've changed the DISA valve o-ring, and the valve looks like it's in good shape.
What should my next steps be?
