2001 Canadian e46 Stereo Upgrades

Hi there,



I have always had great help in this forum, and have a new question for the experts.



I recently aquired a 2001 e36 330i.



The system has the basic 6 speaker business cd, no amp, no cd changer.



In my e36, I have JBL GTO 5.25" components in the front and a 10" subwoofer in the trunk, all hooked up to a 600w JBL GTO1004 amp. I am not looking for anything much fancier, this sounds perfect fine for me.



The e36 install was easy because i just replaced the speakers and amp in the original locations.



Where I am confused is the lack of an amp in this car. I want to keep the stock HU no ifs, ands, or buts.



Here is my plan, let me know if I'm out in left field.



I wish to use the same speaker/amp setup (transplant) I had in the e36.



Can i just use a 4 channel line out convertor like the Peripheral 7 hacked into the fronts at the HU for the front component speakers, and the rears for the sub?



I have done alot of research on this, but its difficult to get straight data on the Canadian no amp vehicles.
