So I bought '97 318i about a month ago, and I love the car. The thing is, I live in Mission, BC, and the entire city is built on the side of a mountain, which means lots of hill climbing, and I take the highway into work, which means extended periods of high speed. The 114 horses don't quite do it for me, as at 120km/h (highway speed) the tach sits at 3500 rpm, which is a little high for my liking, and going up hills I have to drop to 2nd or even 1st sometimes. I want to put a supercharger in, as that would solve both my problems, but I can't seem to find anyone that makes one for this car other than DA, but that one has been discontinued. I don't want to go through all the trouble of doing an engine swap or putting in a turbo, as I don't have the space to do it myself or the money to pay a mechanic to do it. Any suggestions or insight would be much appreciated.
