Smoking Exhaust

Hi all,



I own a 318i, 2006 and it has 150,000Km on the clock. My car smokes whenever i reverse or in low gears. In addition to that, I have to put a litre of oil every two to three weeks. But i hav not noticed any oil leaking. How can I stop the smoking??
