Front Shocks/Springs advice?

Hey guys, i have a 96 bmw 328i. I just replaced the back shocks with bilsteins, i left the springs in since they didnt seem too bad. The front springs seem so-so but hard to tell, I'm wondering: do I need to replace the springs and shocks at the same time in the front? I have 17"s on right now and the front shocks are completely gone. When i hit bumps the wheels hit the top of the wheel well bad.



With the bilsteins on the back and my fenders pulled out the back tires are great.







Will putting the bilsteins on the front help it to not take as huge dips? Can i replace just the shocks?
