Sudden oil leak at the front/ top of my engine. I noticed the familiar synthetic burned smell and saw oil had leaked at the front of my engine. I replaced the VCG 2,300 miles ago and all was leak free till now. Every now and again there is a splurt of oil erupting and I get the smell.
Now, is this an intermittent clogging of the CVV and positive pressure? Or is my Made in India MTC VCG crapping out in the South Texas heat and screwing me? When I test for vacuum there is a very slight vacuum at the oil cap when the engine is idling - which seems normal.
