unknown wire plug by the transmission

Hello everyone,
I hope everybody had a great Christmas. I bought another 8er last week, it's 1993 850CI Automatic with 140000 miles, i noticed a 2 wire plug (blue/yellow and red/gray) hanging at the right side of the transmission, any idea what that is? i appreciate any help.

735 4HP 22 transmission question

So I found a transmission on line, but it's for a E30..... Will this work?
The output shaft would need to be swapped. Would this work?

find one for an E32 or E34, the bell housing in any case will not fit.
Otherwise you have to compare item by item on realoem.com
Also for example the shift lever might be on the wrong side of the trans.

I guess I should ask. If I pit a new transmission in the car, and let's say it's a good working transmission the fluid level is correct and all that good stuff. Will it come out of limp mode or will I need to clear the fault still??

When the control modules = Motronic and TCU are disconnected from the battery, they will be cleared, excluding the airbag module.

aligning engine, transmission, prop shaft...

There has been some discussion about this and its effects. I have looked at the service manual
https://www.bmwtechinfo.com/repair/main/721en/index.htm page 26-11/3
but find it a little confusing and of course it relies on special tools. Is there a DIY anywhere that covers this important procedure?
I don't understand how the transmission mounting plate is adjusted. Is it centered in the body? The tool shown in the manual seems to referencing the side rail.
