I'm Adam and these are my terrible ideas...

If you enjoy forced induction, e34's (you obviously do already), and the potential for bourbon induced ramblings, you've come to the right place. I figure I've accumulated enough parts and come up with enough of a plan that this thread is warranted now.

Some quick facts about me: Adam, finance, camo, 23, Clemson, boost, motorcycles, and really good food. Automotive highlights include a few 240sx's, a cj5, gsxr600, and now this.

Some quick facts about the car: Hans, m sport, used to belong to 535mike, peeling clear coat, needs control arm bushings.

So the end goal here is supercharged with direct port nitrous and meth. I've broken it down into realistic phases because there's no way my pockets can support it all at once.

Phase 1:

6 speed swap, suspension refresh, engine updates.

Engine stuff really began last summer when my water pumped decided it didn't feel like working anymore. So pretty much the whole cooling system is new. Thankfully, other than that it has no real issues and runs like a clock. As I do basic maintenance and ensuing mods, I will be adopting the old 'while you're in there' approach for various gaskets and things of the like. Thanks to ahenry014, I have a getrag 420g sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. That will be beginning of next month. Ordered a JB Racing flywheel last week and Dennis at JBR hooked me up with the the discounted price Turner had for their drivetrain sale. Can't wait to get that in as I hear they are well worth the coin. Suspension wise, still undecided about coilovers or Koni adjustables w/ *insert preferred spring company here*. When I do the trans swap I'll be using a friends lift, so I'm planning on doing all the suspension bushings then. Debating on the rear main as well, may be a game time decision. Any other things that will be much easier whilst lifted and the trans off?

Phase 2:

Nitrous/Meth and Fuel

Again thanks to ahenry016 for the velocity stack manifold sitting in my room. The plan here is a 75-100 shot on a WOT switch with the meth on a boost switch, more on that later. So while I have this mani out, I'm going to go ahead and plumb it and get all the solenoids, pumps, etc. wired up and mount the tanks/bottles. That way once I swap mani's all that'll be left his hooking up feed lines. I'll take this opportunity to address the fuel system as well. I've had good experiences with Aeromotive and will likely turn to them again for an adjustable regulator and pump. Injectors? I reckon 60#'s should do the trick, but I wonder if that'll be overkill. Better safe than sorry though, right? Any input here as far as nozzle placement on the runners would be greatly appreciated.

Phase 3:

Soopuhchaaga

I'm not shelling out 5k for the vf kit. Yes, I realize there's a reason it's so expensive and yes, I realize that it'll bolt on and yes, I realize that it'll be much more difficult to piece together my own kit and that I will always have problems with it. But whatever, I'd rather build my own. So, with that out of the way, going to try and pick up a powerdyne since they're sealed and all. No oil lines for me! Plus they can be had for cheaper than a Vortech. I don't plan on running more that 5 or 6psi. At least not to start with. 928 motorsports has universal mount plates that you can cut to your liking. After ruining a few of those I bet I could make one that works... Thinking crank pulley is gonna be the tricky part here. I've tried asking Dinan, but haven't gotten a response yet. We'll see what happens...

Tuning-No idea yet. I have a DUD chip right now and need to talk him about versatility for all this craziness. Might go the Miller route since they have that package with injectors and a MAF. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

So, whether or not you think I'm insane or fully support me, thanks for taking to time to read and provide any valuable input. I'll get a youtube channel setup soon for videos/timelapse shots of anything worth while. In the meantime, here's some pics to hold everyone over...

Here's a pic from the fs ad when I bought it.

Obligatory clears...

Met up with m540fella at SoWo last spring. Absolutely love his car.

Aaaaaaand this showed up the other day...

And this is Beaux, because who doesn't like dogs?

So that's muh plan. Like I said, if anyone has advice, input, ideas, whatever, I'm all ears.
