I have a question about the roof locking mechanisms....
There appears to be different part numbers for the 'centering pin' which is part of the locking mechanism on each kind of roof?
MANUAL/SEMI-AUTO:

MANUAL
30 - Centering pin
54318163671
HARDTOP:

HARDTOP
42 - Centering pin
54218204405 - FROM 04/1999
54217004655 - ENDED
I was originally looking at these parts to see if the rubber seal/bush that surrounds the pin on the hardtop is available or not.... I would have to guess the rubber seal/bush isn't available separately, and there's no indication if buying a new centering pin from the dealer would include the seal/bush.

This got me thinking, because I have a spare manual/semi-auto roof.
I know that visually, the center pins are different, but I can't help wondering if they might be interchangable from soft-top to hardtop?
Has anyone experimented with this before, or have any other information on the seal/bush that I'm looking for?
