Second thread here and a lot has changed since.
My poor BMW decided not to start one morning throwing various codes relating to camshaft sensors.
So, I replaced both of them and still no luck. I also replaced the VANOS seals with the viton ones whilst I was there. Stil. Wouldn't start. Changed spark plugs. Sounded better, but wouldn't quite start. So, after more checking, I decided to change the fuel pump. It then started! Fantastic!
One issue though, car is still sluggish in 2-3k, revs bounce when I come to a stop (it's an auto), terrible fuel economy and now, there is a very loud whining sound too! It changes tone when the oil filler cap is removed, goes completely when I drive it and it sounds like it's coming from below DISA valve. I've had a feeling around the lower intake boot and I can't feel a vacuum leak.
