I continue to pass questions from our local BMW forum to get an answer and new experience for all of our e32 owners.
So, we have
730i, 88', automatic transmission.
Problem:
Transmission goes to S mode without any preconditions and does not allow to statr engine in this mode.
To start it is needed to set transmission into E mode. But it is not so easy to do this. Sometimes it is possible to set E mode only after battery will be unset.
If E mode is set, engine could be started, and no negatives occur during driving. Then after ignition was turned off and on again - S mode is set and no start is possible
Switch was cleared, and another 100% working switch was placed. No positive result.
What could be the problem?
