Question about replacing exhaust

So I have a 1994 530i Wagon and basically the entire exhaust system is shot. I found a really good price on one of these http://ift.tt/1Ds0647 and was just wondering if it was possible. Of course it would mean modifying the bumper, but what else would it entail?

Question about replacing exhaust

E39 FS: 2003 540i M-Sport / 6 Speed / Sterling Gray / Blk Int / Dynavin / Dinan exaus

Have this up on another forum, but wanted to have it here too just in case. After lots of deliberating, I've decided it's time to find my 2003 540i a new home for someone to love, after providing me with years of enjoyment. I'm the 3rd owner and have taken really great care of this car for the past 7 years. I have all the service records from the time the car was brand new, and have kept meticulous maintenance and records of it since. I want it to go to someone who appreciates it for what it is, as I'm sure most people on this forum know there were only around 2000 of these made with a 6 speed (rarer than an M5 of the same year!). The car has 176k miles on it, but you wouldn't guess it. Still shifts well, and drives great. The cluster is perfect, the seats are clean. I replaced the factory NAV with a much improved OEM look a-like NAV by Dynavin, so you have bluetooth connectivity to your phone, music etc, and it looks totally factory. The car has a few mods; Dinan exhaust, sway bars, and short-shifter (not that short, but better than stock), the engine is all stock and has always been. I also have the stock exhaust muffler if you want it. It has tinted windows, and the motorized rear sunshade. Lots of significant repairs have already been performed too. The only thing that isn't functioning 100% is the sunroof, the rails do need some attention (common failure). It still opens and closes, but the tilt is a little lopsided. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have. Located in SF bay area, California.

Looking to get $10k, but shoot me an offer I'm open to it.

BMW Amp wiring Question :)

Hello! I am installing my third party AMP, with the stock AMP and subs in to my e46 today and was wondering if someone could confirm the wire colors that I tap the positive and negative in to from my LOC. Was going to tap it directly in to the rear speaker wires in the trunk but read that a lot of people prefer to tap in the wires going directly in to the OEM amp. Thanks!

Here is what I have gathered so far:

right plus- blue/black on grey connector-pin 8

right minus- brown/orange on grey connector- pin16

left minus - brown/orange on black connector wire pin 29

left positive yellow/black on black connector - pin 37

white on grey connector- control

Problems with lowered e36 front end

A while back I bought a 4-door 325i that had been lowered. As far as I could tell it was done properly with bilstein struts and H&R lowering springs.

However as I drive ill hear popping-thunking noises while doing slow turns.

More importantly, now i have a mechanic thats telling me the 2 year old Meyle tie rods i put in have loads of play in them.

Could this be caused by a botched lowering job?

M230B23 wont start after stalling while at idle

First of all, hi everyone. My name is Simon and back in November I bought my first E30 - a 1983 323i coupe (manual). I've been doing a few things on it and have only just gotten it off jack stands and onto the road, so it really hasn't had much road time over the last year or so (previous owner didn't drive it).

Took it for a test drive last night after flushing the brakes - all good.

Another test drive tonight after changing clutch fluid - starts well, drives fine. That is until I pull over to tighten the lug nuts which I suddenly remembered that I didn't torque properly.

Now, I leave the engine running as I tighten the lug nuts.

While idling, the engine stalls.

I get back in and restart the engine - all good.

As I finish off the rest of the lug nuts, it stalls again.

I finish the lug nuts and get back in the car.

Attempt to start several times - no luck.

Try a clutch start - no luck.

Left for two hours and tried to start - no luck.

The engine turns over and I hear what sounds like the beginnings of ignition but it just can't get over that hump to start firing. I know all of this is useless so here is a sound recording of what it sounds like.

I know there are about a million things that could be wrong but I thought I would let some more experienced ears see what they think the problem might be. I don't have a tonne of experience with the engine side of things. Even just a list of things to try would be really handy.

One of the reasons I bought an E30 was to improve my technical knowledge thought so I guess I'm getting what I wished for haha.

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Simon

Hey

I did something really stupid with my scanner. I was trying to get rid of the milage tamper dot and was sucessful... now the dot is gone and the milage is good.... however hand became gatal and accidently changed the setting from "as EWS2" to "EWS3" .... now a cannot change it back.

I have this error now on DME that no Data from EWS....

Best part is now car cannot start...... this is by far the dumbest thing I have done.

How do i change that EWS3 back to as EWS2
