I am looking at buying a pre LCI E92 330d auto. Could someone tell me if ALL of the auto boxes have the semi automatic option thanks.

I have seen the paddleshifts, but i wont be desperate for these if i have the sequential semi option with the normal shifter. Many thanks.

aligning engine, transmission, prop shaft...

There has been some discussion about this and its effects. I have looked at the service manual
https://www.bmwtechinfo.com/repair/main/721en/index.htm page 26-11/3
but find it a little confusing and of course it relies on special tools. Is there a DIY anywhere that covers this important procedure?

I don't understand how the transmission mounting plate is adjusted. Is it centered in the body? The tool shown in the manual seems to referencing the side rail.

New 2014 X1 xDrive 28i Brakes very 'Stiff'

Hello, first time BMW owner here and I have a question - The brakes on my new X1 feel extremely 'stiff', as if I have to put a greater amount of effort that I am used to in order to stop quickly, and even remain at a stop (otherwise the car creeps forwards). The steering I know is hydraulic assist and that explains the stiffness there, but the brakes I would imagine not much difference than any other decently build vehicle. The car does 'hunt' a little bit when driving straight but coming from Electronic assist steering I kind of expected that.

I know there was a recall but I just purchased this car last week, and I would imagine the dealership had already taken care of that (BMW Motorwerks in Bloomington, MN).

Is this something I should just get used to, or any other X1 drivers out there have a very different experience?

BTW I've owned many types of cars over the years, from Audi's to Mazda's and Hyundai's and the engine in this thing is simply fantastic (2.0L Turbo).

2010 BMW 650i 19" Style 249 rims and Bridgestones

These came off of a 2010 650i with 11000 miles on it. These rims appear to be almost flawless, i see light swirling from cleaning maybe but doesn't show up in the pictures but wanted to state it. The front tires have roughly 50/60% tread and the rears have closer to 80/90% tread left. This is a staggered set of 19x8.5 and 19x9 14mm offset all around. There were no problems when on the car, but I like to be safe so the local Tire Kingdom spun them upon removal from the car and they said they were good and had no bends. The TPMS are included and are working. Buyer to pay shipping and i can get quotes as needed but i'm guessing 2/250 range, or Local pickup is also available near Tampa Fl within reason. After looking around I see the same set with dings and curbing Sold for 1800 range with tires not anywhere near as good as these so I priced these at 2200obo, its obo but don't waste time with lowballs. I have more pictures upon request.

How to replace steering wheel on 1983 633csi

I purchased a nicely restored original 3 spoke steering wheel for my 1983 633csi. Is this something I could replace myself? Anyone have experience doing this replacement with some tips?

Pretty easy job. How are you with tools? (you did not say).Pop out the center roundel and you will see the (17mm, or possibly 21mm) nut that secures the wheel, and undo that. Wiggle the wheel until it lets loose of the shaft and remove. Really, that's about it.
