Exhaust Pipe to Exhaust Manifold Compression Spring Torque - M70 Engine

Section 18-1 (Exhaust System) of the BMW Torque Specs book recommend the following:



Version with the compression spring: Evenly tighten the compression springs with nuts on the block, then loosen by 1.5 revolutions.



There is an additional note that the torque value is 10mn for the M70 engines.



So, am I to take from this the correct procedure is to tighten down the compression springs until I encounter 10nm and then back the nuts off 1.5 turns? This is what it sounds like to me - although 10nm isn't a whole lot of residual torque considering you're backing of the nut almost 2 turns...
