Delayed shifting? Spark plugs/Coils/Tranny??

Hey looking for some advice, as I do not know a whole lot about cars. I have a e90 330i 2006 I recently bought with a 160km on it.(Canada). When I first bought it there was 3 sensors on (brake, abs,DTC). Turned out to be a shortage in the wiring from the ABS module to the sensors. Was a cheap and easy fix thankfully. The car has been perfect ever since and has been services at BMW (including the wiring). When I left the mechanic metioned I needed new spark plugs, and to get them done on my next visit....

Anyways long story short the car has no problems at all except for switching gears. The rpms sit up for a while and there is a delay before each shift, including the first one. I feel like I need to actually kick the gas down for it to actually shift everytime(my car is automatic). Anyways I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on whats going on? The car does not shake at all and has absolutely no other problems with starting and handling. Could this be the spark plugs? Or can it be the coils or tranny causin this? Id like to have a better idea of whats going on before taking it to the mechanic. Also I use octane premium gas(the one recommended) and always have. Not sure if that matters. Thanks in advance!
