Friend broke down driving his 01 530i, water pump bearing went and serpentine belt came off. Towed back to my place. New water pump, fixed the belts. Fully charged the battery. Now it will not start, but all power stuff works?!? No cranking or clicking at with the key all the way to start position.
Engine is not seized, it will rotate. The starter is getting power at the thick wire but I tested at the solenoid and no power when in the third/start position.
Kinda a weird coincidence if the ignition switch went at the same time but any other ideas? Any easy ways to test ignition switch or pull it apart?
