A friend of mine just showed me a BMW 318is that he has had sitting for some time. He explained (and showed me) that the intake cam had broken in half.
He said he thought it had to do with too heavy of an oil he put in. I don't think that's possible.
But I'd like to know what could have caused it before I take on the project.
I'm a college student and he wants 1200 for the car.
