I'm considering a '01 740i Sport from an independent dealer who says the car has always been factory serviced. As such, BMW should have all the records. My question - will BMW release those records to anyone? How do I contact BMW? I'd like to know if the radiator and water pump, gaskets and timing chain guides have been done or can I use that as leverage negotiating with the dealer. He want $8900, I'm offering $7k. Too much, too little? What say you?
