Question and Advice. 2010 528I 45,000 miles. I had a thump thump airplane sound coming from what seemed like the r rear wheel. I thought it was tire noise as my original tires have 45000 miles on them.
I bought four new tires yesterday and the noise is still there. My question is after I do all the tests to narrow it down to the wheel bearing, how hard is this to change myself. What special tools are needed? What do you think the dealer would charge? I have changed ball joints before (on other vehicles), I have the tools, just not specialty tools for wheel bearings.
