Sluggish engine

Hi, first post here as I'm a new owner of a Z3. My car is a 1999 2.0 6cyl 5 speed manual and as I'm in England it's a European model. I've had the car for a few weeks only and it has one or two problems that I'm sorting slowly. The engine though smooth and quiet doesn't seem all that lively to me, I've had to replace one Lambda sensor B2S2, this car has 4 Lambdas, 2 in the exhaust manifolds and 2 after the CATS. That job improved the running and MPG. I have the usual 'stuck open' exhaust flap. I borrowed an OBD reader which showed up the Lambda fault 'no activity' and on checking the OBD again recently decided to take a print out of the data and I've copied that here so can any of you knowledgable chaps tell me if there are still issues, OBD reports no live or pending codes but there are two reading that puzzle me. STFTB1S2 (%) N/A and STFTB2S2 (%) 99.2. Obviously I'm no expert on these cars or BMW's generally but don't believe there to be a problem with my Vanos as what I read about that doesn't seem to be how my car sounds or behaves. I have noticed to other things about the cars running: 1st when hitting rev limit the car seems to go into and stay in 'limp mode?' until I restart the engine, I also noticed a very similar feel to the car whilst driving it with the OBD scanner plugged in, is this how it should be? if so that means I can't get live data whilst driving as surely 'limp mode' uses different settings? The car was serviced by last owner but has no service record available, even through dealerships so we guess it's an import to the UK from somewhere that uses MPH and drives on the left.
