Please be nice as I need help. I've done the search. I've read most of the articles about brake light issues.
Here is my story:

I got the 'Brake Light Circuit' error from my OBC. I replaced the brake light switch. The error went away.
My brake lights quit working, though. I have no idea, in reality, when the actually stopped. I checked the fuse (it was good) and replaced it anyway. I checked the wiring in the trunk lid and mended the fraying edges. I took out the bulbs/sockets and cleaned everything.
I still have no brake lights.
I've read some place about checking circuits/voltage? That's where I need the help. What is my next logical step? What circuits do I check? What voltage should I see?
Thank you in advance.
