Guys I've run into a issue. im swapping out my m56 Sulev for a 01' m54b30 from a e39. My m56 has a ZF tranny, my donor m54b30 motor did not come with the GM tranny that it was originally equipped with because I'll be keeping my ZF. The problem is that my mechanic informed me that the tranny harness plug on the m54 is different. There's a 20 pin harness in the m54 and on my original m56 the tranny plug is different (forgot the number of pins)
has anyone done a motor m54 swap and stumbled into this problem? The m54b30 came with different trannys in the e39 and e46. 01' e39 have the GM, 01' e46 have the ZF which means different tranny harness. Anyone has a solution to this?
