front drivers side window motor help needed.

Hi, Last night the wife called and said the window was stuck open half way on the car. (1996 740il) I replaced the regulator a few years (6 or 7) ago. all of the pulleys are good on this but it seems the motor failed. I took it out and it is getting power, but only clicks when you go in either direction. I was wondering if I could just replace the motor. I looked at realoem and it does not list it as a separate part, though it looks to be held on by 4 screws. there seems to be a lot of used motors on Ebay for the rear and the front passengers side. the motors all look the same in the pictures. I know the assemblies will not interchange but will the motors interchange? if so then I could just swap the motor for $20 and not spend more for a assembly I don't need. thanks
