Smog

I just bought a nice 1976 Base 2002 with low miles in Oregon, and the smog equipment that came with the car originally had been removed. As the car is now in CA, what are the best options to get it smog compliant? Also, any shop recommendations in northern CA would be greatly appreciated. Oddly, in CA only cars 1975 and older are exempt.
