SLR kit problem

Hey guys, I got a 1995 M3 that I've been running without a sway bar with HSD coilovers and SLR kit. Last night, I tried to see what I can do to run a sway bar, but while I was looking at my SLR kit I saw that the bolt from the control arm to the engine frame isn't fully entering the frame. It looks like it should go in about a half inch more into the frame but the bolt seems too thick. I'm trying to contact Sean. Has anyone else come across this problem?
