Have done a search for solutions to this problem but found nothing very specific:
Drove the car to work yesterday (first time driven for 2 weeks+).
Started fine first thing, had a good run down the motorway to work, then also started fine for the trip home, during which I had two stops and two successful re-starts.
The entire drive home however, was in very slow and heavy traffic with low engine revs most of the way.
Got home and shut down.
15 minutes later went back to the car to move it, and the starter would not engage.
All electrics are working and all the dash lights are on with ignition key on, but nobody home in the starting department.
My first thought was a dead battery(s) but then why would all electrics still be working?
Then I thought maybe the starter relay or fuse.
Or is there a circuit that isolates the starter if battery voltage is too low?
Didn't have time to pursue it any further last night, just put the cover on her and locked her up.
Will need to do some troubleshooting tonight when I get home, so if anyone has any recommendations for me prior to that, it would be much appreciated.

The lights are on but there's nobody home!
