Hello,
I'm look for help from someone that knows what their doing or has done it before to their car. I'm still fairly new to the sound system hookup. Right now I'm running a pioneer BT h/u with my pioneer components speakers running off the stock amp, mid speakers in the dash are still stock. Also have a 12" JL sub running off of a cheap aftermarket amp. It was enough at first cause anything was better then my stock h/u even though I had a cd43.
I'm all about music when I'm driving. Hate the damn radio..... I eventually blew one of my rear speakers. Replaced the broken one....... Eventually I don't know when but I no longer hear any vocal sound from my rear tweeters but still hear the bass from the little subs. (If that makes any sense) I know my aftermarket speakers wouldn't sound much better unless I ran a aftermarket 4 channel amp just for the speakers.
I figured it's time to do things the right way if I want to make the best of what I got. This is where I would need your guys help if possible.
I decided I'm going to order a new H/U looking at the pioneer avh-x7700bt flip out H/U wanna be able to watch music videos or movies when I take the car on long trips. And I'll also probably order some pioneer mid range speakers to change out the dash too.
this is where I get lost. How do I wire all 6 speakers to a 4 channel amp and then to my H/U. I have two components in the front, 2 components in the rear. they came with crossovers but never hooked it up cause the stock amp had built in crossovers if I'm correct? And I also gotta figure out where do I wire the 2 mid range speakers that are on the dash to?
For the longest time I was thinking of by passing it but that is way out of my knowledge. So I was thinking of just re-wiring everything new. Since my setup isn't working properly right now anyways. Any help on this part would be great.
My sub is not hard to upgrade. Just gotta order the right amp to go with my sub and I won't have a problem there..... But I just really wanna set up my speakers right this time.
Majority of the setup I put in, a friend helped me with back then. I know some stuff about wiring it up but sometimes I'm just overwhelmed and get lost.
at one point, I ran an additional two set of RCA wires for my speakers aside from my subwoofer RCA and have all the wiring setup for a 2nd amp. But the JL amp I got was bad so ever since then I never got around to finishing it up. Been on my to-do list for over a year now.
i know this really isn't particularly a e34 question, but I was hoping is someone has re-wired all their speakers in their e34 to a seperate aftermarket amp and head unit. Anyone with any info would be much helpful to me cause I'm ready to finally tackle this to upgrade my soundsysthem.
