I'm sure you have all seen this question countless times before but I have a serious dilemma. Spring is just around the corner and I have to do some maintenance on my car (brakes, oil change, front struts). I've wanted to lower my 06 330i a bit just to get rid of the wheel gap and possibly make it a bit more track-able, but the car is stock and I couldn't bring myself to spend the money on coilovers when I got it. Now that it's about time to replace the front struts , I figure if I'm going to do it, now is the time. My dilemma is simple, I don't exactly have a million dollars to throw at the car just because. I'm on a budget as I am planning my wedding. I also don't want to skimp on my suspension, but I also can't afford $1200 for a set of coil overs. I would like some feedback as to what is the best value coilover set up for my car. I have heard good things about ST, H&R, and BC but those are right at my limit on what I can spend and I have heard mixed reviews on Megan Racing coil overs.
If I do end up taking the car to the track it will only be once or twice a year, if that. my Driving is to and from work, on the highway, 6 days a week. I just want something that will look and feel a little more aggressive without changing anything too drastically. Any input anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.
