My son is a student at Long Beach State and he has his 1980 320i with him. He took it in for a smog check and it failed for NOX. I have not seen the results, but he said it was 'double' what it should be. That is leading me to believe that it is running lean, but there may be other things wrong.
Since I am in Nor Cal I cannot help him. Does anyone know a good CIS mechanic in the south bay area that can tune his engine to pass smog? Any leads would be helpful.
