When I got the car the drivers door seemed to shut ok, it just needed a gentle[ish] push from about quarter closed.
Now the door won't shut fully. What happens is the door will shut so its on the latch and then from the outside I need to do a hip thrusting motion to make it shut completely before I can lock it and leave it.
If I shut the door normally the window rises up a notch, I guess to create the seal, but it fails to lock it. So the window immediately goes back down a notch leaving the door shut but not fully shut. It's a 328i coupe.
I've read some threads which say it could be the micro switch and others which say it's the latch. What do you think?
