With a new to me 97 740i, I found one of the rear trunk lifters was not working. So I ordered a German made set on Amazon that got really good reviews for the E38. Upon installing them I found that I could not close the lid! The shock body on the upper pivot mount side hits the side of the trunk/mount. I tried refitting the OEM lifter and it still hits. What do I have to do to get this to fit?!!!!
My damn new rear trunk lifters won't fit!
