This is a rare manual touring with the sport package. It's been the wife's daily driven car for the last 4 years. I was a bit optimistic about teaching her to drive a stick shift. In the end she is tired of it, so we purchased an auto 525iT recently. She lasted four years on a clutch that had 150K miles on it when we got the car, but the clutch was starting to slip recently so I just had it replaced (see below). I absolutely love the car and would keep it if I were the one hauling the kids around and running the errands. The car comes with a stack of maintenance records from the previous two owners of the car. I also have a set of Blizzak snow tires on BMW OEM steel wheels that can come with the car for $300. Below are a sample of the larger repairs or preventative maintenance of interest.

The good:

It's a 5-speed manual (new clutch) wagon with the lowered ride height of the sport package.

Many suspension parts have been replaced including the rear subframe bushings and rear air springs. The car drives great.

The cooling system was overhauled at ~133K.

The previous owner replaced the VANOS seals.

No dead pixels on MID.

The bad:

It's been in two accidents in the left front. First was by the previous owner and the only thing that was replaced was the left front fender. The second accident happened when I was driving. A pickup truck pulling a trailer did not stay in their lane when turning from a dead stop. Their trailer fender made contact with the left front fender and wheel. There was about a 4" scrape in the fender and damage to the wheel. The appraiser estimated the repair at $900. You can see from above much more was replaced and the fender repainted.

It's a daily driver, there are a number of dings, rock chips, and scratches that is consistent with a 15 year old car.

There is one silver dollar sized spot in the paint in the top panel on the rear hatch. It was present when I bought it from the previous owner.

There is a quarter sized rust patch on the left side of the tailgate just under the rear glass.

There is a bit of rust bubbling under the fuel filler cap.

The rubber seal around the windshield is coming apart.

The interior is in great shape except for the cup holders are broken and both rear door sill BMW logo mat boarders have come apart.

The right rear window does not work. The motor moves the window, but it appears jammed with about a half inch of movement. It's currently in the closed position.

The windshield washer just failed. I'm guessing it is the pump, but I have not investigated it.

Two of the tires have wear on the inside shoulder. It looks like camber wear, but it is actually from one of the fender liners being loose and rubbing on the tire. The tires were rotated at a shop, but they did not notice the issue, that is why two tires are affected.

The car drives excellent and the stick shift makes driving a family hauler a lot more fun. Serious inquires only please.
