so just recently bought a 96 328i manual. has a few issues like the door lock issue, could use a cooling update, and (was told) bad head gasket. been driving for a few days tho no over heat or bad oil and hey with only 128k on it and mint no rust no cracked seats... who can pass up for $600 lol:buttrock
now back on topic. i can unlock the front doors with my key.. but my back doors can not unlock also the trunk and fuel door. the key fob batteries have been replaced, i have done some searching and will be checking the fuse here shortly. when i go to hit the lock on the key fob sounds like you can hear car trying to lock but will not, when go to hit unlock you hear nothing. i am hoping can find a way to fix this here today, i wouldnt mind bypass it. i wantto be able to use the key fob but dont need this double lock stuff.. it does have a aftermarket alarm on it, and radio, if any of them could effect it? i dont know much about the central locking unit, or this car, have only had for about 3 days now.. any help would be great!
